Welcome to WNET-Integration-2007

Workshop

Workshop on Integration of 4G Networks and Wi-Max & Wi-Bro

Introduction

The world is moving rapidly towards globalization and connectivity on the move is an important aspect of this trend with mobile phones and wireless networks. Now efforts are being undertaken to merge the two networks and move from the circuit switched networks completely to packet switched networks due to their low cost and high bandwidth. The initiative was taken with 3G networks but the main problem with 3G access networks was that it just focused on merging the two technologies together but did not fundamentally improve the overall wireless architecture.

The aim of WNET-Integration workshop is to bring together the world's top researchers working on the wireless technologies under one roof in hope of understanding the problems and their solutions for integration between the different wireless technologies for the emerging 4G network standards. The workshop will be held in Shanghai, one of the biggest metropolises in the world. This workshop is a part of the CHINACOM 2007 conference.
CHINACOM is being positioned as the premier international annual conference for the presentation of original and fundamental research advances in the field of Communications, Networks, and Internet Applications.
